Jason Pendola from F.R.E.T.S. Roasting Company was the guest speaker at the weekly meeting of the Coshocton Rotary Club on Tuesday, August 5th.

Phantom Files
Jere Butcher was the Phantom on August 5th.  Dave Erwin was #3 followed by Steve "Mr. Smoothie" Miller at #4.  The Phantom is a mystery greeter who secretly keeps track of who he/she shakes hands with each week.  The 3rd handshake victim of the Phantom receives a free lunch while the 4th pays a fine.

Gearjammer G'News
Rotarians who attended First Friday's in Coshocton were fine free on Tuesday.  All others paid $1.00.

.333 Drawing
Jay Lucas' table claimed $15.00 in the weekly .333 drawing.  There was no big jackpot winner as the pot grows to $296.00.

Coshocton RotaryClub Hub
The annual Rotary vs. Kiwanis Golf Outing will take place on Thursday, August 21st at the Coshocton Town & Country Club.  The shotgun start will begin at 1p.  The new format for the event this year will be a 2-person scramble for each club per foursome.  Contact Shane Pyle for compete details or to register your 2-person team.

Jeff Eikenberry announced that fundraising efforts continue for Shoes for Kids.  Contributions will be collected again next week.  We are currently under last year's total by $100.00.  This fundraising collection is for children of Coshocton County families who can't afford to buy themselves new shoes due to family financial situations.  Rotary works with Coshocton Co. Job and Family Services to buy these children new shoes.  Thank you for your contributions.

The Canal Days Parade is coming up Saturday, August 16th at 5pm.  Parade walkers are needed to represent the club.  Anyone interested in walking, passing out candy, or carrying the banner, please be at the fairgounds at 3:30.  For those who want to ride, Bill Brown still has two empty seats in his car.
When are you hosting a weekly program?
If your are a monthly chairperson, please contact the other weekly hosts and confirm that they have a program for their assigned week.

Programs should be interesting and appropriate for the club avoiding areas of controversy, extreme points of view, and excessive solicitation for funding.   Please advise Casey Claxon cclaxon@noveltyadv.com and Tim Vance timv@ohioheritage.com when you have the programs confirmed (or at least pending) so this information can be posted on the web-site and included in our weekly bulletin.

The third meeting of each month will be the "Fun Program" (may be pre-empted for special occasions like holidays).  Ann Miller milleran@oplin.org is heading up this part of programming for the Rotary year so please notify her as well.  If anyone needs assistance or advice as to appropriateness of programs, please contact Tim Vance, Program Chair.
