Christy Mosier
Is Your Business Prepared for an Emergency?
Christy Mosier, Public Information Officer for the Coshocton County Health Department, was the guest speaker at the weekly meeting of the Coshocton Rotary Club.

Mosier addressed the club on business preparedness for a natural disaster or emergency.

"Every business should have a plan," said Mosier.

She also outlined the biggest threats to smaller communities such as Coshocton including: flooding, severe weather, tornado, and a pandemic outbreak.

She urged business owners to develop a line of communication in case of an emergency, select a shelter for evacuations, and insure employees are trained in areas such as first aid and CPR.

Mosier suggested that plans be reviewed annually and tested during the year.

What kind of difference can your contribution to The Rotary Foundation's Annual Programs Fund make?

A life-saving one, say residents of three villages in the Dominican Republic. Before a Foundation Matching Grant project installed bore wells there, waterborne diseases claimed the lives of one out of every five children..

Recruiting New Members
Two clubs in Korea have set stellar examples for how to achieve the ambitious membership goal set by RI President Dong Kurn Lee this year.

The Rotary clubs of Gwangju-Ibseog in Gwangju and Iri Dong in Jeonrabug held activities outside of club meetings to reach potential -- and in some cases, younger -- members. Both clubs exceeded their membership goals for the 2007-08 Rotary year.

Mystery Rotarian
Always wanted to drive a Greyhound Bus... First car was a 59 English Ford... He loves what he's doing now... If in politics, his platform would be "Job Retention and Creation..."  His greatest accomplishment would be his children... He flunked out of Miami University his freshman year... He is self described as opinionated... His last book was Harry Potter... His nickname is "Rem..."

This week's Mystery Rotarian is:  IMKE NRGITENMO
