Rotary Report
by Barb Emmons
January 12, 2010

Coshocton Rotary met upstairs this week at Roberta's Catering.  I think most of the members liked it better than the lower level.

Our speaker was Sherry Eicholtz, from the I.T. Dept at CCMH.  Sherry spoke about your clinical records at the hospital.  All clinical documentation is now online.  Your physician can access all of your data from his/her office or home.  She discussed the safety and privacy of this system and how much better it is for the patient.  I can speak personally about how great this system is.  When our agency calls a physician re a patient it is so wonderful to hear him/her say, "Let me pull up those labs right now and we will adjust the meds accordingly".  The Right Care, Right Here in Coshocton!

Phantom tapped Jason Given as #3 and Dave Erwin as #4.
Sheila Mayse was our greeter and handed out mints--really a nice idea, Sheila.

We were a happy group today with numerous Happy Bucks.  A standing ovation went out to Linda Weber who was back with us after recuperating six months from her auto accident.  Linda is still dealing with a lot of pain so make those "welcome" hugs very gentle!  Eric Taggart's 10 month old has started walking--this is obviously his first child or he wouldn't be calling this a happy buck.  Eric, you are now in for some real fun.  Shane has switched his directing role for one on-stage (that should be worth the price of admission).  Todd Brown's eldest son is back swimming after his surgery and at his first meet his relay team broke a Riverview record!

Thanks to Casey Claxon and Novelty Advertising for the desk calendars bearing our Rotary name and logo.

Gearjammer went all out this week with a football trivia quiz.  Thanks to Jason and Todd (and no thanks to me or Bill) our table won.  It was surprising how most questions could have been answered with the name of Tiger Woods!
