Paul Harris Day Review
by Barb Emmons
August 11th - Speaker: District Governor, Ram Gwandi spoke about the mysteries of his life and what brought him to Rotary. Rotary has brought him the greatest joys in his life and has given him the opportunity to bring joy to others. We all left inspired to do more in the name of Rotary.
The following members received their Paul Harris Fellowships: - Jason Given - Gordon Spillman - Heather Guess
Heather's was a gift from Barb and Steve in honor of the work Heather has done for our club. The tradition of giving a Fellowship to another member was started by Bill Brown. Thank you Barb and Steve for continuing this tradition.
Jeff Eikenberry, Joe Hogue, Linda Weber, Jim Brown, each received their 2nd Paul Harris; Shane received his third; and Sandy Pyle received her 5th!
Thr Rotary Board of Directors met from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM with District Governor Ram to discuss our club and district's goals and plans for the year.

Rotary Report
by Barb Emmons
Phantom: Joe Hogue. #3 was Joe and #4 was Phil Hunt. The 3rd handshake of the Phantom receives a free lunch while the 4th pays a fine.
The Gearjammer was running amok today, not doing his job, not putting out songbooks, causing trouble at his table, etc! And the worst part... he gets the feeling that running amok is not something new or different for him. Rotarians who failed to attend First Friday were fined $1.00.
We sang (very poorly) Roll Rotary. Ken Free was recognized for 40 years as a member of our club! He has been a member longer than anyone else. Aug. 27th United Way Kickoff
